TestDaF

Goethe-Zertifikat

  • This is for general language learners, individuals looking to prove their German language competency in everyday situations, and those pursuing employment or immigration.
  • Tests speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills at several levels, ranging from A1 (beginning) to C2 (advanced).

Elc Deutsch

  • Acknowledged by German employers, academic institutions, and immigration agencies.
  • Provides exams for various levels of proficiency, including customized tests for academic and professional settings that emphasize the use of language in everyday situations at work or in the classroom.

DSH

  • Mostly necessary for non-native speakers who wish to enroll in German universities.
  • Evaluate your proficiency in speaking, hearing, writing, and reading university-level German. Many German universities generally require applicants to pass this test to be admitted.

GERMAN Test Score Validity

The validity of German language A1 and B1 certificates depends on the institution and the purpose for which the certificate is being used. A few of the certificates do not expire and are valid for life as proof of your language proficiency. However, for visa applications and university admissions, they will require the certificate that is not older than 2 years.

GERMAN Test Fee in Pakistan

German Language A1 exams fee is approximately PKR 35,000 - 40,000 and for B1 German language course test fee is around PKR 40,000 - 45,000.

German is manageable with regular practice. While grammar can be challenging, consistent study and exposure make it easier especially if you’re already familiar with English.
To reach A1-A2 level, it usually takes 2 to 4 months with regular classes. Higher levels like B1 or B2 may take 6 to 12 months, depending on your pace and learning environment.

For most German-taught programs, yes A1 or A2 level is often required at the time of visa application. English-taught programs may not require it but having basic German helps with living in Germany.

A1 is the beginner level in the Common European Framework. It covers basic grammar, introductions, everyday vocabulary, and simple sentence construction for communication in daily situations.

 

The A1 course includes basic sentence structure, greetings, numbers, days, directions, and common phrases. It prepares you for basic interaction in German-speaking environments and for the A1 exam.

To pass the Goethe A1 exam, you generally need at least 60 out of 100 marks. Some institutions may have different scoring criteria, but 60% is the standard pass mark.
